Week of August 31st

Reminders: 

- An online consent form needs to be completed in order for students to appear in pictures on the blog. This form can be found on your MyCBE, under Online Forms and School Registration. 

- Return the purple folder forms (technology form and parent questionnaire) by September 11th!

- Bring 3 or 4 items from home for the inference game in your brown paper bag! :)     

 

Update:

Hey 5D family! This week we had so much fun getting to know each other and building classroom community!

    On the first day, we played an awesome game called Shipwrecked! We had a friendly competition with Mrs. Barnden's class, and we learned to maybe (definitely) not leave others behind... We played collaborative games all week long and are working on building an amazing classroom community!

    In art, we started drawing self portraits! On one half, we drew a realistic picture of ourselves, and on the other side we added our vibrant personality traits! Additionally, on Friday we used watercolours to make our own unique fish, inspired by the read aloud Only One You.

    In writing, we started writing paragraphs about ourselves, and how we fit into the 5D community, just like a puzzle! We copied it down in our neatest handwriting onto an actual puzzle piece to make a 5D community puzzle! Stay tuned for the results. Also in writing, we made time capsules so we can look back on them on the last day of Grade 5!

    In Physical Education, we played Gaga Ball, and had an extraordinary time.
